AS 04-4 Days Masai Mara/Lake Nakuru Wildlife Safari
This Tour combines Lake Nakuru National Park and Masai Mara Game Reserve
About Lake National Park
Access from Nairobi is Approximate 156ks by road- 2 hrs drive
Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes and is protected by the small Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting on the shores. The surface of the shallow is often hardly recognizable due to the continually shifting mass of pink flamingos. The picturesque landscape includes areas of marsh and grasslands alternating with rocky cliffs and outcrops, stretches of acacia woodland and rocky hillsides covered with a Euphorbia forest on the eastern perimeter.
About Masai Mara Game Reserve
Access from Nairobi-by road
•Approximate 280kms -5hrs drive
The Masai Mara is one of the best known and most popular reserves in the whole of Africa. At times and in certain places it can get a little overrun with tourist minibuses, but there is something so special about it that it tempts you back time and again.
Seasoned safari travellers, travel writers, documentary makers and researchers often admit that the Masai Mara is one of their favourite places. So why is that? Perhaps it is because of the ‘big skies’, the open savannahs, the romance of films like ‘Out of Africa’ and certainly because of the annual wildebeest migration, the density of game, the variety of birdlife and the chance of a hot air balloon ride.
Highlights-In this Tour we cover two major National Parks:
•Lake Nakuru National Park …….Birdwatchers Paradise-Famous for the Pink Flamingoes
•Masai Mara Game Reserve………Wildebeest Migration -7th World Wonder –Big 5
